On 23 November 2012 IDAM opened its doors in Doha (Qatar) in the heart of the Museum of Islamic Art at a tip of the Arabian Peninsula. This is Alain Ducasse’s first restaurant in the Middle East. Its name means generosity, the care and attention we take with our guests. It took 18 months of hard work to find the right suppliers for the products and to develop the restaurant’s menu. Chef creates refined Mediterranean cuisine with a touch of influence from the Middle East: Tender octopus, potatoes infused with saffron, Marinated bonito from the Arabian Gulf, lemon and Gold caviar; The local catch with crunchy-creamy Egyptian rice cooked in La Chamba, Roasted blue lobster, “zaalouk” squash with stuffed squash blossom; Camel calf, foie gras with truffles, Souffléed potatoes, Pastille milk dessert, tea & mint granite. Philippe Starck designed the décor for this exceptional restaurant with seating for 60. The staff has trained for six months in order to be able to provide the highest quality service and give customers an experience that is as unique as the restaurant itself.
